Now her kids are grown and it’s a way of life for them, too. The simple brilliance of it always impressed me – on many levels – and yet somehow I was never able to bring it home. Lately, I’ve been changing my relationship with my space, so I’m ready now and the New Year is a perfect time to begin.

Resolutions like this are one thing. There’s something natural about marking time with these renewed intentions, striving to be better people with every passing of the year.
